Who Let the Dogs Out? Holiday Inns Welcome Fido

No need to leave the hounds at home when you’re traveling the Maritimes after the dog days of summer. Just check into any of the nine Holiday Inn hotels, city accommodation with a “pawsitive” attitude. In fact the puppies will be so doggone pleased at their overnight digs that they’ll think they’re on one big “Howliday.” Pet policies vary. In Halifax/Bedford, front desk staffers roll out the doggie welcome wagon with biscuits. In Moncton, puppies romp in warm weather in their own P.A.W. (Pets are Welcome) fenced-in park. In Fredericton, tail waggers sniff out nature trails along 35 acres of St. John River front. Some require kenneling during maid service or request small dogs only. But in a dog-eat-dog world, they may even pronounce it as “purrfect.”
